The OMTC Youth Summer Tennis Camps are open to any youth between 6 – 15 years of age.

Summer Camp runs weekly between 9:00AM – 12:00PM, Monday – Friday (minimum of 6 participants required).

We also offer daily drop-in rates (9:00 - 12:00 - $50members/$60 non-members per session) pending space availability – Please call Mark Martynyshyn 705-321-4572 (or email ) prior to registering for drop-in dates. This enables us to confirm space availability based on the age of your child and our coaching staff for the date requested.

OMTC Tennis Day Camp is a great way for children to learn the game of tennis in a fun and enthusiastic environment. The program offers an introduction to the sport for beginners while at the same time helping more experienced players improve their skills. There will also be a mix of Pickleball, Soccer and other sports and games. The main goals are to have students have fun, get active through a variety of sports and games, and learn the game of tennis!

Progressive Tennis uses a systematic progression of court sizes, balls, and racquets, to scale the game down to an appropriate level. Progressive Tennis simply modifies the size of the court and equipment to acknowledge the size of the participants. We use mini nets, foam balls and various large targets to start skill building with younger children. The program is for children to focus on building skills using the ½ court. The more advanced will progress to ¾ court. Novice players will focus on ¾ court with low compression balls. Youth are grouped according to age and skill level by a Tennis Canada certified coach for on court instruction.

RELEASE WAIVER and INDEMNIFICATION
I understand tennis can be a physically demanding sport which has some inherent risks of falling or injury. In return for being accepted as a member of the Oro-Medonte Tennis Club (OMTC), I agree to hold harmless members, directors, or executives of the OMTC, the Township of Oro-Medonte or any of its instructors or guests, for any injury, damages, loss, or expenses, however caused in my use of the club’s facilities and participation in the club’s tennis programs and tennis activities. I also agree that the OMTC/GET SET may make use of any photograph or image taken of me while participating in club activities without any further permission or fee. My acceptance above is to confirm this agreement and serve as an indemnification of any claim which may be asserted. I am under 18 years of age, my parent’s or guardian’s acceptance above is to confirm this agreement and to serve as an indemnification of any claim which may be asserted.

WEATHER POLICY
Our weather policy at Oro-Medonte Tennis Club OMTC: All lessons are on unless the courts are considered unplayable due to weather. We make every effort to provide sufficient notice but sometimes, because of the unpredictability of the weather; we are not able to give any notice at all. Every attempt will be made to reschedule make-up lessons if lessons are cancelled due to weather. Please remember to keep the reserved dates available for those make-up lessons. Unless the parent/guardian receives notice from the Oro-Medonte Tennis Club or Associates, it should be assumed that the lesson is on. Missed Lessons - If a participant misses a lesson, Oro-Medonte Tennis Club is not obligated to reschedule a make-up lesson.

MEDIA WAIVER
I am aware that the above-named participant(s) may appear in a photograph taken by the Oro-Medonte Tennis Club (OMTC) or local media and that photograph may appear in a variety of media sources on behalf of the OMTC. OMTC will not divulge your child’s name without written permission.

REFUND POLICY
•All refund requests must be submitted in writing or by email to the OMTC Executive.
•A $15 administration fee will be deducted from all refunds received a minimum of 7 days prior to the start of a program.
•A $25 administration fee will apply after the 7-day period.
• If the program has commenced the $25.00 administration fee will apply and the program fee will be prorated. No refunds will be available following the completion of 25% of the program.
•No administration fee will apply for medical reasons confirmed with a doctor’s note.
•No administration fee will be charged for cancellation of any program made by the OMTC.
•Failing to attend a lesson, clinic or camp will NOT result in a refund being owed to the registrant.
•Please allow 30 days for processing.
